When it comes to scuba dive lights, there are a number of uses for it on different scenarios during a scuba diving and one of the most common uses will be during a night dive, but the scuba dive lights can also be used during cave dives, when you are diving on an over cast days or even by simply looking into a hole or in between rocks on a normal dive day. For any diver, they really know what the light can do when they are under water; it brings out the natural color of the creatures as well as the corals since they lost its colors as the dive becomes deeper due to very little light that reaches the deepest part of the ocean. Without any dive light, it is impossible for you to appreciate the amazing wildlife that were hiding in crack and crevices under the ocean.

When you are going on a night dive, it is expected that the dive shop or agency will tell you to bring at least 2 dive lights, one will be used as your primary dive light while the other will be used as backup in case the primary light will fail in the middle of your dive. If both your dive lights are not working, then it is important to call of your night dive.

If you are looking for a primary  light, it best that you choose a wide beamed light as this will help illuminate wider area and will also help you overcome the darkness during you dive. If you are looking for a secondary dive light, you can choose a light that has smaller beam as this is great for illuminating small creatures in the ocean.

Having a bright light during your dive is not often good as the water has a lot of particles and when your light its them, you will be able to see them instead of the creatures in the ocean.

If you are into underwater photography or a videographer, a dive light that has a very bright light can create hot spots not unless if you have a bright wide angle beam. Know more about scuba at http://scubagame.wikia.com/wiki/Scuba.

Recreational divers often choose to have the cheap torch with short burn time, but for those who are videographers, photographers, cave divers and wreck divers, they are often in search for a high quality bright torch that will last longer than those cheap ones.

Since you are looking for a dive light, it is best that you check the burn time and it should be at least twice as much as your dive and can last longer as your dive, it is also best that you check the deep rating at least 50% extra than that of what you require. When you are able to choose a good dive light, it often have a rating of at least 100 meters of more which means that it can hold up to the pressure.
